The Mend Sleep Adapt Mattress is 14″ thick hybrid mattress that is adjustable right at home!
Mend Sleep Adapt is a new brand that currently offers two models. The main flagship model is designed to unzip and allow the sleeper to flip the top 4″ of comfort foam to either sleep on a medium or a firm feel. This is one of my favorite designs I have seen.
The other mode is a eurotop that is designed to pack a punch but come in at a good price.
Our zippered cover allows you to open the Mend Sleep Adapt Mattress and flip the comfort layer to obtain the desired firmness. You can also remove the cover to wash it. We used the luxurious OEKO-TEX Emana fabric for the cover due to its breathability, cellulite prevention, and hypoallergenic properties bound to improve your comfort and well-being.
Our innovative comfort layer combines 2” of cooling gel-infused super-bouncy air-cell foam that ensures coolness, breathability, and pressure relief with 2” of fast-responding support foam that delivers comfort and support through a firmer feel. By flipping this layer you can adjust the firmness level of your Mend Sleep Adapt Mattress from medium-soft to medium-firm or the other way around, according to your needs and preferences.
This layer consists of hundreds (over one thousand in the larger sizes) Mend Sleep Adapt Mattress 8″ individually wrapped coils. They ensure targeted, localized support and relieve pressure, making the mattress suitable for all sleeping positions. They also ensure excellent airflow and motion isolation, making our mattress a great solution for couples.
Our base foam layer supports and adds stability to the layers on top of it, allowing you to use your Mend Sleep Adapt Mattress on any surface: slatted foundations, box springs, adjustable bases, and even directly on the floor.
The Mend Mattress can be used on any solid surface. Whether you pop it on the floor, on a wood foundation, boxspring, platform with slats or an adjustable base it will perform great.
Obviously, the most important aspect of a new mattress is how it feels to sleep in. In this aspect, I enjoyed my experience with the Mend Mattress.
Coming from the Mend Mattress industry I LOVE that this mattress can be adjusted right at home. Considering you are buying online it makes it very nice that you can change the feel right at home. This should take the worry out of buying a new mattress for most.
The medium soft feel is the feel I preferred. It offers VERY good pressure relief without being too soft. The firmer layer underneath and the support layer paired with the coil unit provide really good support with a nice softness on top.
The firmer side is great for those seeking a firm feel but not a rock. You still have some pressure relief but amazing support.
Overall you should like the feel of one of these options.
The last thing you want is for the mattress to retain heat. During the summer months, it will feel like sleeping in a heater, causing you to sweat during the night. Thankfully, this isn’t something that you need to worry about when you purchase the Adapt. It uses some innovative technology to keep you cool.
First the cover is cool to the touch and breathable. The Adapt foam is gel infused and open cell. It did not trap heat much at all. The foams and coil unit both allow for great airflow.
This mattress uses independent pocketed coils with a total of 5 inches of foam on top of those coils. It has a remarkable amount of foams above the coil for the price it comes in at. Because it uses a large amount of foam and a pocketed coil unit you will find this mattress absorbs motions very well. Generally new hybrids are good at this but the adapt is above average in this area. You should not feel your partner move around.
The Adapt will great on an adjustable base.

The Mend Sleep Adapt Mattress uses a good quality coil unit. This coil unit on the outside 2 rows uses coils that use stronger/thicker steel that the rest of the mattress. This is designed to offer good edge support. When laying near the edge you will feel extra support to eliminate the “roll off the bed” feeling. The Mend Mattress performed very well in this area.
I found the process of ordering the Adapt to be straightforward. The checkout is simple.
Once you place your order, the mattress will be shipped. They use UPS. Because of this, you should be able to get the product fairly quickly. It will take around a week to arrive at your door.
This mattress comes in a box. This makes it easier to move into the right position. However, it can be heavy. Because of this, you might want to get a friend to help you lift it into the bedroom.
Once you have it in the bedroom, it’s time to remove the mattress from the box. It will be rolled up. Unroll it onto the bed. Then, you will need to wait for it to expand. You will need to wait for at least two hours before you put the sheets on. However, it will take around eight hours for the corner to fully expand.
It’s best to assemble the mattress in the morning. If you do this, it will be fully expanded by the time you are ready to go to bed at night.
I found the delivery and setup process to be fairly straightforward. I give this aspect 10 out of 10.
One of the benefits of using environmentally friendly materials is the lack of harmful chemicals. Like most mattresses, you might get a little bit of a smell. However, this will quickly fade. You can speed the off-gassing process up by opening a window.
The smell should dissipate completely within a few days, 10 out of 10.
Overall Summary
This mattress is very interesting to me considering you can change the feel. The quality is very good, the feel is great and the fact that you can change the feel is an amazing feature for those who are not sure what they like or considering you are buying it online and are not laying on it first. I think most people will like one of the firmness’s for sure. This is a nice mattress to consider and comes in at a good price when you consider the features and quality.
