Prefer an all foam feel- Although the Aurora by Brooklyn Bedding has good motion reduction and body conformance it is a hybrid so if you are more of an all-foam lover with the best motion reduction you may not like the hybrid design.
Have a tight budget – This is a luxury mattress and the price tag shows it. So, if you are looking to spend under $1000 for a Queen you will want to look somewhere else. Although you can finance. The signature hybrids were also upgraded and are much nicer than they were too. So, check those out as well.

I am enjoying this new mattress. In the last 10 days I have had 2 whole nights of sleeping all the way through to the morning wakeup time without being wakeful for several hours between 2-5 am. This luxury of entering a deep sleep for more than 3-4 hours has not happened for a few years, so I give credit for these 2 gift nights to a new mattress! Here’s to an increase in my nighttime sleepfulness.
Ordered a medium with pillow top. It was a little firm at first but I added a Nectar soft memory foam topper that I had. Now that the mattress has broken in a bit, it is so so so comfy! Highly recommend!
Looked at every brand under the sun. No brand had all the features I was looking for except the BB Aurora Luxe with the cooling pillow top. Had features that even more expensive brands were lacking. Side sleeper, over 6ft over 250. 30 days in. Thrilled with this purchase. Wanted to regret spending a bunch of money on a mattress. I don’t. At all
The first thing you will do when you get your Aurora mattress is bring it to the room you will open it in. You do not want to unroll it in another room. Once you are ready to open it you can use the cutter some brands provide, if not use a scissors and be careful not to cut the fabric.
As it starts opening it will expand quickly and you will only notice a slight “new mattress smell”. The Aurora mattress is made in the USA so it is not roll packed very long, which helps with minimize off gassing.
“Off Gassing” for me is tricky because no matter what brand you are looking at they are going to have a smell. “Natural” or Organic” mattresses often times have the strongest smell, even though people associate them with no off gassing. A smell is normal and no matter what brand you buy is going to have some kind of new smell.
In most cases the smell will be gone within 12-36 hours or very faint. I always recommend using a mattress protector so once the mattress airs out use a protector and sheets and at that point you should not experience much smell at all.

The fabric feels very cold to the touch and assists with sleeping cooler. I still recommend a mattress protector so I would consider the cooling protector they also sell.
The Brooklyn Bedding Mattress will work great on any solid surface. Whether you pop in on the floor, on a wood foundation/boxspring, a platform with slats or upgrade to an adjustable base, this mattress will perform great.
The Brooklyn Bedding Mattress did not trap heat for us. I am a firm believer that eventually your mattress will end up the temp of your body, but some foam disperse heat better than others. You should not have any issues getting overly hot on this mattress. This mattress uses cooling infused foams, cooling fabric and really does sleep cooler than traditional mattresses that use generic memory foams and none cooling fabrics.
We tested on twin xl’s and don’t have the adjustable for a king. However, the Brookly Mattress will have no issues on an adjustable. It will work great.

As a store owner who sells these, I think they did a extremely good job in upping the quality of these mattresses. From better coils to higher density foams they overall feel of these new models is very high end. The medium will appeal to most people for all sleeping positions. With good support and good pressure relief this model should suit most people. The quality of these is very good.
