It’s a temporary solution for putting your baby down, uses it 0-4 months, max 16lbs. until your baby can roll over. Only use for baby’s supervised awake time, not for sleep

Safety Warnings: Do not allow babies to lie face down on a Boppy® Pillow. To prevent positional asphyxia, keep the baby’s airway open at all times. For proper breathing when using the pillow for propping, do not allow the baby to be curled up in the center of the pillow area or be propped up too high on the pillow. Do not use a crib, cradle, bassinet, playpen, play yard. Not for use on a bed, either with the baby alone or with a caregiver who may fall asleep while feeding the baby. Do not leave the baby unattended – adult supervision is required. Improper use of this product could result in serious injury or death.
Shipping & Unboxing: The pillow arrived in a week and was SUPER easy to unbox. There was nothing to do except take it out of the box and then it’s cover. You can cut the tags off to make it a little cleaner and more comfortable. I did find the cover to remove very easily and was definitely worth the purchase for the three months that I used it! Both the Boppy Newborn Lounger and Boppy Pillow are for supervised awake time only and not for sleep. The Newborn Lounger is that place for newborns (0-4 months) to hang out when you need a hands-free moment when the baby is awake. The Boppy Pillow is a feeding pillow from day one but acts as a baby support after 3 months old for propping (3+ months), tummy time (6+ months) and sitting (9+ months). The Newborn Lounger is not for nursing.

“You have to buy this!” Omg my baby loves this thing! We’ve had it since she was about 3 weeks old and she is now 8 weeks. “Great product but hard to clean! I love this lounger. My baby seems to be very comfortable with it, it’s one of our most used items! However, cleaning it is difficult since the cover is not removable. After a particularly terrible “blow out” I washed it in the washing machine delicately and dried it on low in the dryer as instructed. It held up fine but the stain will remain forever. “Perfect for newborns. This is absolutely the best item to have on hand if you’re just needing the little one “a little closer”. This Boppy lounger will keep the baby comfortable and snug while close to you.
It’s cute, and moderately easy to spot clean. I do recommend a blanket or something to put over it, as it’s easy for the baby to slide down otherwise, nothing too serious, just more of a minimal amount.
