Obviously, the most important aspect of a new mattress is how it feels to sleep in. In this aspect, I enjoyed my experience with the AS2. This 12-inch mattress provided a medium-firm feeling. There is plenty of support, to keep your spine in the right alignment. But there is also some softness, to keep you feeling comfortable.
This mattress has been built with back and stomach sleepers in mind, offering plenty of support. It can also be a great choice for anyone who is suffering from back pain. However, if you prefer to sleep on your side or a combination sleeper, it might be best to offer something a little softer.
Another huge benefit was that this mattress stops you from feeling like you are stuck in your bed. This is a particularly big problem for memory foam mattresses. The problem arises from the length of time it takes the memory foam to spring back to its shape when you remove your body weight. In a traditional mattress, this will take 60 seconds. But in the AS2, it will only take four seconds.
There are a few other elements that I liked about this bed. First, it manages the temperature well. I never felt like the mattress was getting hot. The cover is made from Celliant. This is soft to the touch and is very breathable.
Overall, I was happy with the AS2. It might not be the right choice for those who want to sink into the bed. But if you normally sleep on your stomach or back, you’ll appreciate the extra support. I rate it a 10 out of 10 in this area.

Thankfully, this isn’t something that you need to worry about when you purchase the AS2. It uses some innovative technology to keep you cool.
First, the cover is made from Celliant. This is breathable and is made from thermoreactive materials. This stops heat from entering the mattress. The second layer is made from open-cell foam. This increases airflow within the mattress. It will also be able to wick away your body heat.
Plus, this is a firmer mattress, ensuring that you aren’t sinking into it. As a result, you will be getting more airflow around your body.
I found the mattress to be very breathable, keeping me cool throughout the night. In this area, I am scoring it a 10 out of 10.
Motion Transfer
If you are a light sleeper, it’s best to choose a memory foam mattress. Because they are made from dense material, they are good at isolating any movement. The AS2 continues this trend.
It’s unlikely that you will experience too much movement on this bed. This is due to the thick layers of memory foam. It can also be attributed to the delayed response foam, which quickly bounces back into place.
It’s unlikely that you will be disturbed by movement on the AS2. In this area, I am scoring it a 9 out of 10.

Edge Support
Before
buying a mattress, it’s important to understand the amount of edge support that
you will be getting. This will ensure that you don’t end up rolling off the bed
during the night. It will also give you a place to sit as you are getting
dressed.
In this
area, the AS2 struggled. The surface is firm, which means that it can allow you
to sit on the edge of the bed. But, because it’s made of memory foam, you will
quickly find yourself sinking into the mattress. Because of this, you won’t be
able to sit there for long. While every part of the mattress is useable, there
isn’t enough edge support to stop you from rolling off the bed during the
night.
If you toss
and turn at night, the lack of edge support might leave you on the floor. In
this area, I am giving the AS2 a 7 out of 10.
Delivery & Setup – Off Gassing
I found the process of ordering the AS1 to be straightforward. The checkout is simple. However, unlike other manufacturers, they don’t give you an option to break it down into smaller installments.
Once you place your order, the mattress will be shipped. They use FedEx. Because of this, you should be able to get the product fairly quickly. It will take around a week to arrive at your door.
This mattress comes in a box. This makes it easier to move into the right position. However, it can be heavy. Because of this, you might want to get a friend to help you lift it into the bedroom.
Once you have it in the bedroom, it’s time to remove the mattress from the box. It will be rolled up. Unroll it onto the bed. Then, you will need to wait for it to expand. You will need to wait for at least two hours before you put the sheets on. However, it will take around eight hours for the corner to fully expand. It’s best to assemble the mattress in the morning. If you do this, it will be fully expanded by the time you are ready to go to bed at night.
I found the delivery and setup process to be fairly straightforward. I give this aspect 10 out of 10.
