Infantino Flip 4-in-1 Convertible Carrier Review
What we liked and disliked about the Infantino Flip 4-in-1 Convertible Carrier
Things you’ll like:
This carrier has 4 easy ways to carry your baby and it’s super reasonably priced. Ergonomically friendly, narrow and wide seating options, has an adjustable head support and extra-padded shoulder straps with a supportive waist belt that transfers weight to wearers hips and includes a wonder cover bib.
Things you might not like:
No bells of whistles with this carrier, pretty basic. Some users claim it’s not that ergonomically comfortable. The drool cover has been doomed worthless and the shoulder pads aren’t thick enough for comfortability and basically a backpack strap.

Safety:
The testing requirements for Infantino’s industry are set and regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). In 2008 the CPSC instituted the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) in order to tighten controls on certain materials such as lead and phthalates used in children’s’ products. We have our products extensively tested in accordance with CPSIA requirements and applicable regulatory standards by CPSC accredited test labs to ensure compliance.
They expect that children will put our products into their mouth and we go to great lengths to ensure compliance with all safety regulations. All of Infantino’s products meet or exceed the stringent safety standards. Infantino products are free of BPA, lead and phthalates. All paint used on our toys is thoroughly tested for compliance and there are no toxic elements or heavy metals in any of the paint used on our products.
Additionally, they do perform flammability tests on certain products in our line — such as our play mats, carriers, shopping cart covers and travel beds — in accordance with the safety regulations. However, they do not use any flame retardant chemicals on any of our products.

“I’m taking my 2 week old around the neighborhood in this carrier and she fits well into it, with a small hack. Unlike some other carriers, you do not need an infant insert with this infatino. The straps tighten enough to offer good support for a newborn at the back and neck. One problem is that it kind of cuts out my baby’s blood circulation in the legs. You can watch the little feet turn purple in a few minutes… BUT, we found a hack – roll up a towel or small blanket and put it at the bottom of the carrier as a booster seat. That way the legs can bend down naturally instead of forced into a split. As the baby get bigger and her blood circulation improves, you can remove the booster. Overall great carrier at great price, easy to put on and my baby always falls asleep in it. By the time she’s 5 months and weighs about 15lbs, we switched to ergo as she can fit in it without an insert and it’s more comfortable for the adult.” Jessica (5 out of 5 stars)
“We also have an Ergo 360 and how our son fits in them is a bit different but mainly the Ergo has much more padding in the hip and shoulders and keeps him more snug against my body. The main positive for the Infantino is that it’s lightweight and you don’t get nearly as hot as you do in the Ergo. At 5 months old the kid has more room to move his head around and I don’t sweat as much as I do with the Ergo, but I don’t think I could wear this for 2 hours without back pain but I could in the Ergo. All in all I’m glad I got it and I’d buy it again. The Ergo is more comfortable but its also $120 more. A bigger and more supple pad on the waist band would go a long way. Maybe DIY it?” – Shakes00lude (3 out of 5 stars)
“I bought this for my 10 month old son (currently 25 pounds at 12 months) when we went to Washington D.C. and would highly recommend for anyone traveling with a little one. He would get tired of the stroller and would want to be held, there were also times where I wanted him up close with me and not in the stroller. He was very happy and comfortable in this. I have only used the frontal position, facing me so far, I have yet to try any of the other 3 – but its a great product and he loves it. Its also very comfortable with the wide straps and the strap that goes across the lumbar. My husband who is 6’3″ 250 pounds and I who am 5’3″ 140 pounds, can both wear this – so it also has a wide range as far as who can use.” – Amazon User ( 5 out of 5 stars)
“My baby instantly falls asleep once he is in this carrier! He is 6 weeks old and a little over 10 lbs and fits perfectly in the narrow seating position! I am 5’2″ with a short torso, and it is very comfortable. My husband is 6’1″ with a very long torso, and it fits him comfortably, too. It really doesn’t feel like he’s 10 lbs when in this carrier! We love it and highly recommend it!” – Arlene Dobbins (5 out of 5 stars)
“I was worried about the quality of this infant carrier because of how cheap it is, but I’m very impressed!! It’s super comfortable & it holds my 2 week old newborn without feeling like he is going to slip or fall out. It feels very safe & secure and he loves to be up against me! 100% would recommend!” – Tiffanie Totman (5 out of 5 stars)
