  • Want very good edge support.  The Logan and Cove mattresses have foam encased sides which provides very good support on the sides, ensuring you can use the whole mattress for sleeping without feeling like you are going to roll off the bed.

Logan and Cove Choice Mattress Comfort & Feel

This Hybrid has the pocketed coils embedded that stop it from ultimately performing in the same way as a memory foam one does. When you sit on a memory foam mattress you sink in to it, and sometimes you can wind up feeling like you are sleeping inside the mattress, instead of on top of it! This mattress features a lot of bounce back and minimal sinkage, meaning that you wake up on top of it and you don’t need to fight your way out!

It has a great balance of pressure relief, body conformance and bounce.  Not too much sinking but also not too much bounce while still having great pressure relief.

Customers have reported that it is of reasonable firmness, with some liking their bed to be a little softer. This mattress therefore sits somewhere around the middle of the firmness rating scale, around 6.5-7

The Logan & Cove choice has a feel suitable for most combination sleepers but could be a bit firm for those lighter sleepers or side sleepers only.

When you remove the plastic and box from your new Logan & Cove mattress, you may notice that it gives off a slight “new mattress” smell. “off-gassing” for me is a slightly misleading term, because no matter what brand you are looking at they are going to have a smell. Natural mattresses or organic mattresses tend to give off the most smell, contrary to the popular belief that they will smell the least. A smell is normal and, no matter which brand you buy, please remember that there will be a smell. I associate it with the smell of new shoes or a new car.

In most cases the smell will either have dissipated or become incredibly faint 12-36 hours after unpacking your mattress. Once you cover it with a mattress protector and some fresh sheets there will be minimum to no smell whatsoever, and you will be free to enjoy your new Logan & Cove mattress!

Logan & Cove Choice Mattress Edge Support

The way they have made this mattress means that the edges do not have the same pocketed coil support as the rest of the bed does. This is, as far as we can deduce, an excellent way to stop you from either falling off the bed or rolling into the middle. The middle of the mattress has bounce to push you upwards, while the edges all around are made from a dense poly foam that is designed specifically to aid those of us who sleep as a couple, and who live in fear of waking up on the floor.

The Edge support is very dense and provides excellent support.  It was above average for the online space certainly.

Logan and Cove Mattress Firmness and Feel:

We had a good experience on the Logan and Cove Choice Mattress.  I am generally one who prefers thicker mattresses but at 12″ it is enough.  I always use a mattress protector so some of the benefits of the cover may not have been noticed for me.  The nice thing is now they offer a mattress protector that uses the same fabric as the mattress!

The Logan and Cove Choice Mattress impressed me for the following reasons.

A.) To me the overall build and quality was above average. With foam encasement and cooling foams this mattress packs a lot for a good price.

B.) It worked well in all sleeping positions.  Although some might find it a hair firm for side sleeping but i prefer that to allow some break in.

C.) The edge support on this is amazing with foam encasement.

D.) I liked how good the support and bounce mixture was.

E.) It does not sink way in so you sleep cooler and it is still easy to adjust positions and move in and out of bed.

The Logan & Cove mattress sleeps pretty cool, becuase you do not sink way into the mattress less of your body is envoloped by foam which helps you sleep cooler.

The foams are gel infused which sleep cooler and the quilt foam provides separation from the foams that can trap heat a bit more.  The coils are pocketed and without much space between each other there is little opportunity for air flow through the mattress while you sleep. However, the theory is that the top layer provides the coolness, and consumers can’t decide whether it’s a hit or a miss in terms of a cool sleep.

The Logan and Cove Choice will work on an adjustable base to a point.  If you want to elevate some for tv, acid reflux, snoring and things like that it will bend and work great on an adjustable base.
