In total this mattress stands at 13 inches tall which is big, even for a hybrid. Remember what we said about taking two people to lift it? The base layer is two inches of solid, thick and high-density foam that creates a durable and tough base to support the rest of the structure. On top of that is the layer of individually wrapped, memory-foam encased coils which provide a little movement without being bouncy. This layer stands roughly 6 inches tall and makes up for the contouring of the layers above.
