Things you’ll like:
This pillow can last up to a year and it’s great for multiple stages of development. The covers are unique and some moms have said they like to have a different one than their friends. This is rated as the one of the top hands free items to have for your baby and the company has a great reputation. It’s great to gift other moms and you can also use the pillow for postpartum discomfort from sitting!
Things you might not like:
I read a couple reviews that stated the pillow was not that easy to clean. Some people have also stated that your baby can get fussy if your pillow isn’t positioned right while feeding and that it’s useless for breastfeeding. Beware of fake pillows on the internet, make sure you order the Boppy trademarked and backed brand. A few people have said the cover rips easily and that it’s not super soft and rather stiff

Safety:
Do not allow babies to lie face down on a Boppy® Pillow. To prevent positional asphyxia, keep the baby’s airway open at all times. For proper breathing when using the pillow for propping, do not allow the baby to be curled up in the center of the pillow area or be propped up too high on the pillow. Do not use a crib, cradle, bassinet, playpen, play yard. Not for use on a bed, either with the baby alone or with a caregiver who may fall asleep while feeding the baby. Do not leave the baby unattended – adult supervision is required. Improper use of this product could result in serious injury or death.
Shipping & Unboxing:
The pillow arrived in a week and all I had to do was take it out of the box and remove it from it’s protective cover. You can cut the tags off to make it a little cleaner and more comfortable. Here is my unboxing video:

Both the Boppy Newborn Lounger and Boppy Pillow are for supervised awake time only and not for sleep. The Newborn Lounger is that place for newborns (0-4 months) to hang out when you need a hands-free moment when the baby is awake. The Boppy Pillow is a feeding pillow from day one but acts as a baby support after 3 months old for propping (3+ months), tummy time (6+ months) and sitting (9+ months). The Newborn Lounger is not for nursing.

“Nice to have, but not worth the money. I like this pillow but it isn’t that much more useful than a regular pillow would be. I usually don’t use a pillow at all when I’m breastfeeding, but it’s nice to use if I’m trying to multitask, such as eating while breastfeeding, as it frees up a hand and stabilizes my baby. It’s also nice for just holding her because it relieves weight from my arms and again, stabilizes her. “They all use it but in different ways! I have gotten these as a gift for 3 new moms because of how useful they are in diverse ways. One mother used it for its advertised purpose, to lay her baby on while nursing. Another mother had used it as u-pillow to sit in for healing during postpartum and said it was fantastic. Another mom found it the best when she was cleaning up and she needed to prop her baby up with a bottle. She said they baby was much happier just being able to see mom. “Easily dislodged! It was great at first but I kept needing to add blankets or support pillows around it. She kept falling into the space between the boppy and my belly and it kept moving or getting dislodged.
