A good idea can help people make great buying decisions and can help hundreds of customers save thousands of dollars while shopping for mattresses. There is no ONE mattress perfect for everyone, so we need you to tell us how someone can find the best mattress for him or her and their significant other.
Who can apply for our yearly scholarship?
All applicants must be –
- Currently in high school (seniors attending school in the USA) or college students in accredited post secondary educational institutions in the USA.
- Expecting completion of high school diploma during the application. In case you already have a high school diploma or GED, send an attested copy of the same with the application email.
- Pursuing or planning to pursue a degree in any of the recognized USA post secondary educational institution.
- Citizens of the United States of America.
- Studying in the USA.
- Having a minimum 3.00 GPA (currently, for those still studying or expecting their diplomas).
How can you apply for the scholarship?
The application process for this USD 1000 scholarship is quite fun and unique. Create a video telling us about yourself, your interests and more. Make sure it is less than 10 minutes long (or short).
You can make it humorous, serious or factual. You can include daily pathos of daily office going crowds and their fights with their mattresses. Or you can animate your characters to express your unique ideas and thoughts on the subject.
While you are at it, do address the following points –
- How do you think digital marketing and online shopping is affecting mattress buying choices of the current generation?
- How is the new online selling process affecting the older companies with land-based businesses? How can they adapt to the new online selling trend without losing old customers?
- How can you help these mattress companies keep up with the latest trends in both sales and production of these mattresses?
The selection process
The scholarship committee will form and select the best applicant who covers all points above. It should be interesting, entertaining and informative. Above all, it should answer all pertaining questions creatively. The winning application should meet or exceed all expectations of the judging committee.
The application has to conform to all the eligibility criteria mentioned above, and it should be unique. It should pass all plagiarism tests. It should reach us by the given deadline.
Dates you cannot forget
Since the 2017 scholarship program is already on the move, the next application process will be for the 2018 session.
Application process opens on March 2018.
Application process closes on 31 March 2018.
Winner of the scholarship will be announced on 15 April 2018.
In case the winner does not respond to the email within a week, the Real Mattress Reviews Scholarship Committee shall select a new winner for the same scholarship.
How many can win this scholarship?
Only one student will qualify for the USD 1000 scholarship. The Real Mattress Review representatives will directly contact the winner of the scholarship. Therefore, do not forget to include your contact details in the application emails.
We will verify your details, school status, GPA and other requirements before sanctioning the scholarship amount to the winner.
The Real Mattress Reviews will entertain only one application per applicant. Be sure to include all the required details in this email before you hit send. Please note that we do not accept any paper applications, therefore, do not send us application letters via the post or in person. Send in your video file in MP3, MP4, MOV, AVI or ASF as your application at [email protected] before the midnight of the given deadline date.
Is the scholarship renewable?
There are new scholarship awards each year. The current scholarship is for this session only. It is not renewable.
